REGISTERED POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIST

As a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, you will record, monitor and manage patient safety during all sleep studies. You will perform polysomnographic recordings, scores studies, and perform some respiratory therapy and nursing functions. You will provide compassionate care to our patients every day. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting diagnostic and therapeutic attended polysomnographic studies with multiple sensors.
  • Scoring polysomnographic studies.
  • Educating patients, caregivers, and physicians in fundamentals of sleep medicine, diagnosis procedure and treatment options.
  • Setting up and administering CPAP or BIPAP, as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards set forth in the clinical practice guidelines.
  • Demonstrating basic technical knowledge of polysomnographic procedures published by ASDA and APT, operating and maintaining laboratory monitoring equipment, and CPAP/BIPAP.
  • Documenting all recording all pertinent patient data in a complete fashion
